A Doe, A Deer
"We patronize the animals for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate of having taken form so far below ourselves. And therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they are more finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other Nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendor and travail of the earth." ― Henry Beston
Today while driving in the mountains of Sedona, a magical creature crossed my path. I know the experience was a lesson and a blessing. Looking eyeball to eyeball with a beautiful young deer was one of the highlights of this part of the journey known as the Peace On Earth Tour. I welcome every experience and these special moments make it more magical. I had to sit down and write what came from my heart after the experience.
Beautiful doe with your sweet innocent eyes
Standing there so regally yet totally humble
Coming across your presence on my path was
A message to stay in gentle peace and not stumble.
I honor your presence and your wisdom
I appreciate you showing yourself to me
I see in you the reflection of pure perfect love
And how that connection makes you and me free.
Beautiful doe, this was no chance encounter
This was Divinely orchestrated for us
An exchange of energy in a magical place
A knowingness that truth comes about with trust.
Dear Angels, I admire the beauty, grace, love and confidence of animals. I am always thrilled to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat roaming free. Help me to be more like God’s creatures who seem to be carefree and just want to exist without worry.
Dear Ones, what you see when you look at any animal is a reflection of what is going on inside of you. If you perceive the animal to be gentle and kind, it is because you are seeing that in yourself and acknowledging it. If instead, you see the animal as threatening and to be feared perhaps examine where that fear and lost sense of security is showing up in your own life. The animals of the world are teachers, though they are just doing what they came here to earth to do – simply to love. If you allow their love into your life it is truly a blessing. If you choose to ignore them or see them in any other way than love, you are one of their students who is resisting the lesson of your own magnificence. Listen to what they have to teach you and allow yourself to return that love to fully benefit from the experience.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to decorate my life with beauty, connection, and enriching experiences.
