BEAUTY IN THE DARKNESS

a church and village covered in snow at nighttime

“God's love does not protect us from suffering. God's love protects us in the midst of suffering.”  Hans Kung

Today in meditation, a profound message came forth about darkness. We live in a world of contrast, of both dark and light, up and down and immense polarities. These exist inside of each of us as well. We tend to push back against the dark, seeking to eliminate it. Our thought process is that the brighter the light, the more the darkness will dispel. The revelation I received today is that we are to instead see the beauty in the darkness. Sometimes the darkness is needed to show us something miraculous. Without darkness, we would be unable to see the Northern Lights. Sitting in darkness in complete stillness, we can dig deeper without distractions and get more in touch with our true selves. Honoring our shadow self will also release the anxiety of the unknown. It is when we fight the darkness that we become tense and worried. Go with the flow of the energy and welcome all aspects of this beautiful journey.

Dear Angels, it is sometimes difficult for us humans to understand that there is a place for the darkness in our world, and especially inside of us. We pray for the darkness to be removed, eradicated, but what we don’t realize is that if we have not learned the lesson of the experience, then it is not divine time for it to dissipate. Wouldn’t a better prayer be to ask for clarity and full understanding of what the darkness is showing us?

Dear Ones, we surround you with the light of understanding and the warmth of divine love. Know the truth that God's love is not a shield that removes all trials and suffering from your path. Rather, it is a sanctuary that holds you steadfast when life feels too heavy to bear. In your moments of pain and doubt, feel the embrace of this eternal love. It whispers to you that you are not alone, that even in your darkest valleys, the Creator walks beside you. This love does not promise a life without storms, but it assures you of the strength to endure them. It provides the grace to rise again, the courage to keep moving, and the wisdom to see the light even in shadows. Suffering, Dear Ones, is not a punishment but a teacher, guiding you to deeper understanding and greater compassion. It is in these crucibles of growth that you draw closer to the Divine, learning the power of resilience, the beauty of surrender, and the unyielding truth that you are never forsaken. Rest in this truth - God’s love is a steady anchor in a turbulent sea. It lifts you when you falter, carries you when you cannot stand, and transforms your tears into rivers of renewal. Trust in this love, and let it strengthen your heart, for even in your suffering, you are infinitely cherished. We, your angels, are here with you always, amplifying this love and guiding you toward peace. Remember, you are never alone.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to rest in the assurance of God’s love and protection.
