Build Bridges
“We build too many walls and not enough bridges.” ~Isaac Newton
I was born in a little house beside the Cumberland river. That river had a swinging bridge you could walk across to get to houses on the other side. It was scary and my heart races at the remembrance of walking across it as a child. Yes, the bridge would swing. It was a wooden bridge held together with ropes. There are actually some of these bridges still standing in the part of the country where I grew up but the one that was a nightmare for me has been torn down and replaced with a concrete bridge.
Dear Angels, even though the bridge from my childhood was scary and dangerous, I have held a fascination with bridges my whole life. I heard someone say, “a bridge is like an outstretched hand.” I love that. It joins together and allows a connection, especially if it is difficult to unite any other way.
Dear Ones, we are thrilled when we hear of humans uniting. Building a bridge to connect instead of a wall to keep yourselves separate is such a beautiful gesture of trust and intention of working together. We encourage you to stretch out your hand to others. There may be someone you have had a disagreement with or perhaps you just lost contact. Take the first move by calling or writing to them. It does not mean that every outreach is a success; however, your soul will rejoice at the decision to try. You can build a more peaceful world. It will happen one heart connection at a time. Will you be a part of that?
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to keep building bridges and focus solely on connection instead of building walls.
