Change Is My Friend
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man. Heraclitus
On the higher level there are no good or bad experiences, there are just experiences. Good and bad are judgment calls and what one person deems as bad may not affect another person the same way and could even be a “good” experience for them. One thing in life that I am certain of is that we change constantly. I stopped in Desert Hot Springs to get gas on my way out of town so I wouldn’t have to stop before I reached my destination of Big Bear. The gas was $5.55 a gallon and I thought the angels had a great sense of humor with that one! It got better. I put 5.5 gallons of gas in my tank. As I pulled out onto the road, the speed limit sign glaringly said 55. Okay, enough already angels! I hear you! Change and transition coming at me in a huge way. All the way up the mountain toward Big Bear, I thought about how things constantly change. I thought of Reverend Sharron Stroud whose life we had just celebrated together. I thought of what a big hole there is in the world without her physical presence. I thought of my friend that I was anticipating seeing when I finally reached the top of that big mountain. The last time I saw her was the first time we met in person after years of online and phone conversations. I thought of how we drifted apart for a bit but then came back together stronger than ever. I thought about my sister who also lives on a mountain and how I had refused to drive on her mountain just a year ago. Now I was making my way up a mountain twice or three times as high as the one I was scared of in the past. There were still butterflies in my stomach but I felt I had a new strength to persevere. Change. It truly is the one constant in life. I welcome change in my own life and in our world.
Dear Angels, it has been an emotional day and I am not the same person that woke up this morning. I have laughed, I have cried and most of all I have loved. Thank you for holding me through the events of this day as you do every day. I welcome a word from you tonight.
Dear Ones, you came here for the experiences you would have. If there was no change, there would be no growth. Change is not something to fear. It truly is your friend. Love the new energy when change occurs. If you waste your time struggling against it, you may miss the point of the lesson that floated in with the change. There may be times when you do the same thing you have done day after day but that one time you experience it, suddenly it feels different. It is at that point that you know you have made a transition on the inside. Welcome it..embrace it..examine it. We encourage you, however, to not judge it. Once you label it good or bad, you change its energy. Let it be what it is; simply an experience that brought another lesson your way.
Dear Angels, I am ready for whatever change comes next for me. Thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
