CHANGED BY THE STORMS

“When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.” — Haruki Murakami

Storms in life are unavoidable. They come in many forms—a sudden loss, a broken relationship, a health scare, or simply the weight of the world bearing down on us. In these moments, it’s natural to feel disoriented, scared, or even lost. Yet, it is in these very storms that our souls are refined and we have our biggest growth. When we are battered by the winds of change, it can feel like pieces of us are being stripped away. And in truth, they are. But this isn’t a loss; it’s a liberation. The storm isn’t here to destroy you—it’s here to reveal you. It peels away the layers of fear, doubt, and old beliefs that no longer serve you, leaving behind the essence of who you truly are. Think of a tree in the midst of a storm. The strong winds may bend its branches, even snap a few. But when the storm passes, the tree stands taller, its roots driven deeper into the earth, finding new strength and stability it didn’t know it had. Just like the tree, we too emerge from life’s storms with deeper roots and a greater understanding of our resilience.

Dear Angels, how do we navigate the storms of life? In those moments when our world looks the darkest, where do we turn to find light? What do we hold onto so that we don’t break when the winds howl?

Dear Ones, first we invite you to surrender. Trust that there is a higher plan at work. Release the need to control or resist, and allow the winds to carry away what no longer belongs to you. Second, find stillness within the chaos. In the eye of every storm lies a place of peace—your soul’s sanctuary. Go there. Meditate, pray, and listen to our whispers of love telling you that we are always with you. And finally, hold onto hope. The rain may blur your vision, but the sun is always waiting to break through the clouds. When the storm clears, you will stand on the other side, stronger, wiser, and more aligned with your true self. Dear One, the storms of life are not here to punish you but to prepare you. They shape you into the person you were always meant to be. We invite you to remember the next time you find yourself in the midst of one, you are not the storm. You are the calm within it. You are the light that shines after it. And you are the masterpiece that emerges because of it. Embrace the transformation. Trust the process. And know that when you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in—you will be so much more. The psalmist wrote, “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.”

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to remember that storms come and go in life and I trust the process of moving through with ease and grace to the other side.
