Clear The Dustbunnies

“Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.” ― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Have you ever misjudged someone due to not knowing their backstory? I certainly have and I have also been on the other side of being judged. Earlier tonight I was deep in mediation and found myself in teas over judgment. I want to keep this short and sweet tonight and encourage all of us to search our hearts just as the psalmist cried out “search me, oh God, and know my heart.” Many times we forget to do our own housecleaning to be rid of things that have built up in our room that causes us sadness.

Dear Angels, we all have darkness within us. It is the way things are here in the human experience. Unless we take the time to open up lay our insides bare, we may keep collecting more judgments and unkind thoughts about others. How do we do our inner search without judging ourselves too harshly?

Dear Ones, do you ever avoid an activity because you think it will be too painful? That is what happens for so many of you. You think that if you turn on the lights inside of yourself you may find something in there that will shake you up and even frighten you. Dear Ones, what if you find your beautiful light inside that far outshines anything other than love? When you sit out a dance, you miss an opportunity to see how beautifully you can move. Ridding yourself of the hidden dustbunnies that pile up in the darkness is like doing a beautiful waltz. Instead of seeing it as something to be dreaded, put on some gentle soothing music and dive in with the intention that you are setting yourself free. Do the dance, sing the song and eat the ice cream.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to keep doing the inward journey and sweep away any judgments I find there.
