Climbing Mountains
“We do not climb mountains so that people can see us; we climb mountains so that we can see the world.”
--- Pauline Nguyen
What drives us to do the things we do? Sometimes we do not consciously think about the why of the things we do, rather we just feel driven to do it. Some people look at a mountain and have a desire to climb to the top of it. I grew up in the mountains of Appalachia. When I was young, one of my teachers took us on a field trip where we hiked up the mountain. I knew then that it was not my thing. Yet, I have friends who are avid hikers and climbers and I admire them for their tenacity. It is not one of the easiest things to accomplish.
Dear Angels, in our unique experiences in life our tastes and desires can be so varied. This has always intrigued me. What creates that drive in some to “climb their mountain” while others prefer to admire it without the desire to conquer it?
Dear Ones, indeed people have spent lifetimes studying human behavior and motivation. Your interests and desires are as unique as your fingerprints. This is because you maintain the energy from all your lifetimes within your DNA. That drive you have to accomplish something although consciously you are not sure of the source can be explained when you go deeper into your subconscious. When you are fulfilling your purpose in life, you feel in flow with the universe. You innately know that you will climb that mountain, whatever that is for you. It will call you to it. So many of you live your life doing to what others decide you should do. When this is not in alignment with your Divine purpose, you feel like a fish out of water. You go through life sensing that something is missing. Many of you ask us to help you understand your purpose. Dear Ones, we are always happy to help you explore but only you will know what unlocks that door to your Divine destiny. When you ask for guidance, you are ready to know the answer. You are here to experience life and through these experiences evolve and awaken to your authentic self, to recognize that you truly are a Divine expression of Source, that you are Spirit in human form. There is another part of your Divine purpose that you will understand through connecting in and diving deeper and that has to do with following your passion. You possess special gifts and talents, and it is important to recognize that your purpose may not necessarily deal with what you do for a living. You will know if you are following your passion and how it fits into where you are expending your energy in the course of your life. Look at your level of satisfaction each day. When you are living your purpose and passion, you will be at peace instead of finding fault with things you see in your world and in others. Dear Ones, this is something that only you can know for sure as you contemplate the answers. Many of you feel the desire to climb that mountain but listen to others who tell you that it is impossible or frivolous. We encourage you to decide for yourself and not be swayed by others. Live the life you came here to live. Find your reason and you will find your inner satisfaction and contentment.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to climb that mountain I came here to climb and not be swayed by my inner fears or outside influences.
