DID YOU END UP IN OZ
“I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore” Dorothy, Wizard of Oz
Have you ever had that feeling—like life has shifted, the familiar landscape of your world has changed, and you're no longer standing on solid ground? There’s a sense of being out of place, like Dorothy stepping out of her Kansas home into the vivid and unpredictable world of Oz. In times like these, we may whisper to ourselves as I have done many times, “We’re not in Kansas anymore.” The truth is, life has a way of ushering us into new chapters without warning. Whether it’s a change in career, a relationship ending, a sudden move, or an unexpected challenge, these transitions can leave us feeling displaced and vulnerable. The operative word here is “can.” It certainly does not have to be that way. We make choices every day – choices about what to wear, where to go, what to eat, and on and on. While we all know that we do these things, we overlook the fact that we are also making choices of whether to stand up for ourselves or give our power away. When life takes us out of our comfort zone, it’s easy to feel untethered, yearning for the safety of what we know. Sometimes we choose to play small and not use our voice. But displacement can also be seen as an invitation to expand our perspective and embrace new opportunities. Just as Dorothy discovered a world beyond her wildest imagination, we too can experience profound growth when we let go of what we once clung to and open ourselves to the magic of the unknown and perhaps a new terrain as we use our authentic voice.
Dear Angels, during our challenging times, we hear you say to us, “Trust the journey. You are exactly where you need to be.” For many, this is not an easy ask. When we have the rug pulled out from under us, it can be quite daunting, yet we innately know that it is during these times that we are most supported by the divine.
Dear Ones, no matter how displaced you may feel, remember that you are never alone on this journey. We are with you, surrounding you with love, wisdom, and the reassurance that everything is unfolding perfectly, even when it feels like the ground has shifted beneath your feet. So, when life changes in unexpected ways, and you find yourself thinking that you have ended up in a totally different landscape, take heart. You are being led somewhere beautiful, somewhere new, somewhere that will reveal the fullness of who you are. Trust in your guides, and trust in the journey—you are exactly where you are meant to be. A wise woman once said, “Everything is working perfectly.” Wisdom, like miracles, comes when you need it, not necessarily when you want it.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to keep believing in miracles and adapt to wherever I may be at any given moment in time.
