DREAM AND THEN DO

Martin Luther King, Jr

"Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase." Martin Luther King, Jr.

Throughout history, there have been men and women who gained notoriety for the role they played in striving to make the world a better place. Today, as we do every year, we honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His efforts to bring equality to our lives resulted in him being the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. King left us with one of the most motivational speeches in history but did you know that it was partially improvised and that the iconic phrase was left out of the original draft? He was advised to keep the famous line of “I have a dream” out of the speech. However, upon encouragement from Mahalia Jackson, he did it his way. Frank Sinatra would be proud! King’s father also did things his way. He was so impressed by what he learned about a monk named Martin Luther that he officially changed his name and his son’s name to include “Luther.” What does this say to us? Sometimes, you just need to listen to your higher guidance and do what you feel in your gut to do. Sometimes, a moment in history gives you the opportunity to step up and do it your way. It happened today with one of my favorite singers, Carrie Underwood. I have followed her career for twenty years. She proved today that when things don’t go as planned, you either step up and go with your gut or sit down and play small. I was very proud of her as she stood in her divine authority as the world watched.

Dear Angels, there lies within each of us a voice, a guide, that whispers what truly matters. Martin Luther King Jr. once stood before thousands, his voice not just speaking but embodying this inner call, when he declared, "I have a dream” and thus began a movement where we could all envision a more peaceful world. Do we all have this inner calling and why do some answer the call while others do not?

Dear Ones, to listen to your highest guidance is to heed a call that is timeless and universal. It's about recognizing that the same inner light that fueled Dr. King's dream lives within each of you, urging you toward acts of love, courage, and integrity. It's about understanding that every small step taken in alignment with this inner truth contributes to a larger wave of change. When you stand up for what you intuitively know is right, you are not just standing for yourselves but for a collective dream of a world where peace, justice, and love prevail. You become part of a lineage of dreamers and doers who have listened to that inner voice and acted, thereby shaping history. We encourage you to dare to listen to your highest guidance, to stand up even when the path is fraught with uncertainty. Act with the conviction that your actions, however small, echo the profound dream of equality and brotherhood that Dr. King dreamed of. In doing so, you not only honor his legacy but also contribute to the unfolding of your own dream, one where every act of good fortifies the foundation of a better tomorrow. Remember, the dream begins within, grows with action, and is realized through collective courage.

Angels Whisper: Strive to listen more deeply, to act with more bravery, and to trust that this internal compass is not just for navigation but for transformation. Every act of standing up for what intuitively feels right is a personal homage to the legacy of those who dared to dream of a better world.

Today, I promise to do things according to my higher guidance system, even if it does not conform to the norm.
