Dreams Do Come True
“Don't put limits on yourself. Not every dream will come true, and not every dream is from God. But when your dreams connect with God's plans, you'll find open doors that you never thought you'd see.” Max Lucado
Dreams are a part of the human experience. A dream by any other name is still a dream – goal, desire, ambition, so let’s just call it what it is. A little known fact about myself: I was in the drama club in high school. I loved it. I remember playing Helen Keller and learned sign language for the role. I was so caught up in her life’s story that I put myself in her shoes every chance I got. I felt her passion, her frustration, her dreams. I wanted to make an impact like she did. I dreamt of Hollywood, of standing in front of that sign, of the glitz and glamour. It took me about fifty years but I stood there and looked at that sign with my own eyes just last year. I was reminded of the dream I had as a young teen. Although I was in Hollywood for a different reason than what I envisioned in my youth, I was definitely there to make an impact on the world. The young me packed a suitcase one day and climbed the hill behind our house to hitchhike to Hollywood – at least that was the intention. I’m not sure who talked me down off the hill but I didn’t run away from home that day and my dream was put aside. The older and somewhat wiser me ran toward my dream as a result of knowing what my life purpose is and ventured out on the Peace On Earth Tour. It was a message to never give up. Hollywood is where dreams are made or broken, depending on many factors but especially perseverance. Angels, how do we keep our dreams alive even when they seem so out of reach and far away?
Dear Ones, think of your dreams like fish in the river. You drop your hook in and with enough perseverance and patience, you most likely will catch something. Your dream may be to catch “the big one” that you can tell your friends about. The one you can show off. Your expectation is not unreasonable, right? Perhaps the first one you catch is only a minnow. Well, that certainly didn’t fulfil your expectations now did it? You throw it back or keep it for bait to catch “the big one.” You tasted success – you caught something, but you also tasted failure – not what you expected it to look like. Dear Ones, that is a part of your human experience. Not all dreams will end up being “the big one” and not all will be minnows. If your dream is important, if you persevere, and if you have the right combination of Desire, Divine Plan and Divine Timing (the real 3D), your miracle will show up. We encourage you to keep dreaming and keep your dream alive in your heart. Love the fact that a minnow showed up for you just as much as you love “the big one” when it appears. That, Dear Ones, is the secret of fulfilling your dreams.
I also took speech in high school and always chose the hardest topics to write and speak on. I suppose I have always looked for “the big one” in everything I pursue, and especially peace on earth. I will never stop dreaming, Dear Angels. Thank you for your insight.
