Earth Angels Among Us

Or when a surprise blizzard happens and you are caught up in the midst of it. I have never known such love as I felt overnight as some of my beautiful friends kept me company virtually through the night to make sure I didn’t freeze to death while sitting in a truck stop when the world came to a halt in front of me. All through the night, police diverted traffic off the frozen highway for everyone’s safety. It was below freezing weather and I couldn’t keep the car running so had to time it intermittently to warm up and hope the covers I had with me would keep some of the body heat in. I sat and watched what was happening as if it were a movie. Trucks were playing bumper cars with each other. Cars were sliding off the side of the road or into the intersection. I stayed calm and safe in my happy parking spot looking out at everyone trying to do the best they could. Some impatiently drove right up to the “closed” sign at the entranceway to the freeway like that would make a difference and it would automatically open up!
The ladies who checked on me constantly and consistently were not willing to leave me alone, thank God. It made all the difference to know that I was not alone and didn’t have to go through this experience by myself. Blue, Jean, Kathy and Linda – how can I ever find words to express what your act of kindness meant to me? Not only did you keep checking on me, but you offered to get me a hotel room which was kind of impossible as all roads were at a standstill and no one was going anywhere anytime soon! Still, it warmed my heart that the offer was on the table. It is that kind of care that shows the power of love to keep warmth flowing. I love you ladies so very much!
Dear Angels, so many times earth angels show up and place others ahead of their own needs. Surely there is a special reward for this kind of compassion?
Dear Ones, what you experience during these times of immense care and compassion is the true spiritual self stepping forward to be of service. True acts of compassion are done without expectation of reward or accolade just as you experienced with your friends. Their only thought was for your safety and comfort. There was never a question about inconvenience and any other scenario was unacceptable. You received the highest kind of compassion, unselfish unconditional love. That is why it felt so warm and immense. When earth angels perform a service it is because they just act with no regard for anything else other than bringing love to the person or situation. In acknowledging these acts of kindness, you are in essence seeing yourself in each other. You are being shown what it is like to live fully in spirit. Is it seen and acknowledged on the spirit level by us and by the Divine? Yes, absolutely. Job well done ladies for your ministry! We love you and your compassionate hearts!
