When Johnny said “nobody puts Baby in a corner” it was a moment of empowerment. Nobody deserves to be hidden away in a corner and silenced and yet it happens all the time. As a young child, I was “put in the corner” and thought that is just what happens with children. I didn’t think it was unusual that we were not to laugh or play inside. Maybe that is why I love nature and being outside.
