GREAT EXPECTATIONS
“You must expect great things of yourself before you can do them.” Michael Jordan
I’m seeing a trend these days of people doing things that common sense would say is not a good idea and then hoping to be forgiven for it. There are too many apologies happening when it would have been best to not say or do the thing being apologized for. Impulsiveness stems from a place of reaction rather than reflection. In moments of heightened emotion—whether it’s anger, excitement, fear, or frustration—we may act or speak without considering the consequences. Our words can wound, and our actions can create ripples that affect not just ourselves but also those around us. I’m not judging, just observing and also confessing to having done this at times.
Dear Angels, the spiritual journey teaches us to move from a reactive state to a responsive state. This shift requires us to pause, breathe, and connect with our higher selves before we engage with the world around us.
Dear Ones, when you do act impulsively and find yourself needing to ask for forgiveness, it’s essential to approach this with humility and grace. A sincere apology can mend relationships and heal wounds. However, it’s equally important to learn from these experiences and commit to making more mindful choices in the future. We can assist you in seeking forgiveness, both from others and from yourself. We offer unconditional love and a reminder that you are all on a journey of growth and learning. By invoking our guidance, you can find the strength to forgive yourself and others, leading to healing and transformation. All humans are bound to make mistakes. The spiritual journey is not about achieving perfection but about continuous growth and learning. May you find the peace and guidance that comes from connecting with your higher self and our loving presence. “But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.
Today, I promise to pause before speaking and ask for as well as give forgiveness without hesitation.
