GROWING UP SPIRITUALLY
“Forever is composed of nows.” — Emily Dickinson
I remember being 17 and thinking 30 was old. Then I reached my 30’s and said there was not enough money in the world that would make me go back and relive my younger days. We seem to hold a concept about forever and it is hard to conceive of the enormity of it. The angels like to say that we are only here for a minute in the grand scheme of things. If forever is in fact neverending, then they are correct. While things seem so enormously important to us, I think it would be entirely different if we looked at them in context of forever.
Dear Angels, I want my minute on Earth to be filled with joy and happiness, not things. The feeling that comes from a warm hug or a long conversation means more than a pot of gold ever could. It feels cumbersome to collect things. I would much rather collect friends.
Dear Ones, just as you age and mature in your physical body, you do the same spiritually. To grow physically, you require nourishment. The same is true of your spiritual body. Feed it regularly and do the same self-care as the physical body. You bathe to cleanse the physical, thus do a cleansing of the spiritual body as well. Clean the aura, open the chakras. Take good care of your spiritual body. It is a very real part of you so treat it as such. Where it is good to detox the physical, also purge anything in the spiritual body that is not for your best and highest good. Be aware of what you are feeding it, both from others and from yourself. Show gratitude and love daily – those are the vitamins of the soul and will strengthen you as you grow. You are an amazing being of love and light. Treat yourself as such.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.
Today, I promise to take my vitamins of gratitude and love.
