It Is What It Is

“And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?”—Rumi

Rumi says, “The best words are those that are few and telling.” The best words convey a lesson without going on and on.” In a world consumed by the pursuit of more, where success is often measured by material possessions and societal achievements, the teachings of the 13th-century Persian poet and mystic, Rumi, offer a refreshing perspective. Rumi's profound spiritual wisdom reminds us that true fulfillment lies not in the accumulation of wealth or possessions but in recognizing and embracing the power of "enough." In his book Fihi ma Fihi, Rumi tells of someone who made a journey to see one who was regarded as a spiritual teacher or a saint. When he arrived, he was sent away with the message that the lesson had already been learned simply by taking the journey. Rumi’s teachings are a lesson in discovery of self, consciousness and our soul essence, or atman.

Dear Angels, scientists have debated for centuries what consciousness is and where it originates from, and it is still a mystery to them. Rumi is unable to tell us in words what consciousness is but he describes it in his teachings. “Fihi ma Fihi” translates to “it is what it is.” To me, this is what acceptance is all about. It is the knowingness that we are divine beings of love and light and are all connected in the great field of awareness, i.e., consciousness.

Dear Ones, we encourage you to find joy in simplicity, appreciating the beauty of each moment and recognizing the blessings that surround you. By shifting your focus from an insatiable desire for more to an attitude of gratitude and contentment, you open yourselves up to a profound sense of peace and spiritual fulfillment. True satisfaction comes from recognizing that you possess all you need within you as external possessions are mere illusions distracting you from your spiritual journey. Take some time to step away from those material things you hold so dear to you in your life and spend time going inward to connect with your spiritual consciousness and then see if they hold the same meaning as before. Be fully present in each moment. By releasing your attachments to past regrets or future anxieties, you can immerse yourselves in the present moment, finding solace and spiritual nourishment. Through mindfulness and conscious awareness, you open yourselves up to divine guidance and profound spiritual experiences. Indeed, Dear Ones, a little is truly enough when you learn to seek the eternal treasures within.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to seek the abundance that is within me and know that my cup will always be full.
