Just Breathe
“Sometimes it’s okay if the only thing you did today was breathe.” Not Only Journals
Sometimes we just have to do what we can do in the moment. I’m all about pulling up my big girl panties and weathering the storms of life, yet I also understand that there are times and circumstances that knock you backwards. I was discussing this today with a friend. Someone I know and care about very deeply has gone through a year of dealing with one crisis after another. Just as the dust seemed to settle from one storm, another would come rolling in. I can’t even imagine what that must feel like, although it seems as if it would be comparable to standing on shifting sand. When the waves come into shore from the ocean and go back out again, they tend to drag whatever is on the shore into the body of the ocean. Sometimes you can get caught up in the riptide if the current is extremely strong and it is very dangerous. I actually know people who have had that experience and they share the panic, the helplessness, and the fear of not surviving.
Dear Angels, I understand that there are challenges and struggles in life and I understand that they happen for us to grow from each one. However, it is hard to understand the reason that some people are hit with tragedy relentlessly. My friend is strong and resilient thankfully. I admire her fortitude and I also see that there are days when breathing is the only thing she is capable of.
Dear Ones, there is no cookie-cutter answer to fit the questions of life. Each of you has a path and a Divine plan for your journey in your lifetime. Your empathy shows a compassionate heart which is healing to those you encounter who are experiencing difficulties. Hold the sacred space for them to do their inner work as they are the only ones who hold the answers to their situation. Remember also, Dear Ones, that there is no separation. If you are witnessing another in distress, what is it inside of you that is crying out for help? Always use the lessons to go deeper inside and ask for insight. The strength you see displayed in others is your own strength being mirrored back to you just as perceived weakness in others is something stirring inside of you that needs attention. It does not all have to make sense now, but it will when you do the deeper dive inside. Go fearlessly into that ocean knowing that it is you in all your stages of calmness, turbulence, strength, anger and peace. You control the waves with your energy. If it becomes frightening to you, just breathe.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to allow my compassionate heart to hold space for all who are struggling.
