Learning Through Pain

”Sometimes you must hurt in order to know, fall in order to grow, lose in order to gain, because life’s greatest lessons are learnt through pain.” –Nagato

Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze us. This teaching can be so, so hard to comprehend. Many times we just want to forget what has happened to us, not fully dealing with it and allowing it to sit and fester as we close our eyes and our hearts to new possibilities. It’s certainly much easier to ignore rather than confront, isn’t it? I have struggled my entire life with speaking my truth because I did not want a confrontation. It has taken years to understand how to communicate from the heart and intelligently become the observer, allowing all possibilities without judgment. It is the only way to make sense of hurt and pain and not allow it to harden us. It is the only way to break through to the growth.

Dear Angels, hurt and pain have been my greatest teachers in this lifetime. I heard years ago that every experience is necessary in our lives. It is what shapes us and makes us the person we become. I don’t pretend to understand how it all works, just that it is the hard things in life that bring the biggest growth.

Dear Ones, it is the ability to look back on a trauma, a loss, a challenge of any kind and see from a different perspective, through eyes that have healed, a heart that has been knocked around and survived that you grow and become the person who is shaped by the darkness. Your strength and resilience is contained inside of you where your spiritual connection resides. As you allow yourself to accept the help available from us and your loved ones, you will heal that deep hurt inside of you. The healing will be transformational. Each pain experience builds on the last and with each hurt and pain you choose how you will grow, or not. When you choose to be brave, you meet the pain head-on. You discover that strength and it becomes a force to be reckoned with because you allow it. Honor what you are feeling. The important thing is to feel and not gloss over it or ignore it. When you get that nudge to confront it, do so with ease and grace and a heart full of gratitude for the expansion that is taking place.

Dear Angels, I choose to grow and thank you for your guidance. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise that if I feel hurt, I will allow it to show itself and not sweep it under a rug.
