Love Unconditionally

“Humanity should be our race. Love should be our religion.” Unknown

I grew up in a small town. So small, in fact, that everyone knew everyone else’s business, who your kids were and how many spankings they got. People knew my boyfriend cheated on me before I did. They knew that I lied to my parents about where I was when I was supposed to be spending the night with my best friend. For those who don’t know me, I am white southern gal. I was born in the 50’s in the hills of Kentucky where many worked hard for very little money in the coal mines, including my father. He was a complex man who suffered physically during his lifetime and the 13 children he brought into the world both loved and feared him. He was very outspoken about what he believed and very prejudiced, even though my mother was part Native American. I grew up in a segregated part of the country. I never had the privilege of interacting with a person with another skin color until I was in my Junior year in high school when we had forced integration. I did not understand the prejudice then just as I do not understand it now; and I went on to develop wonderful friendships throughout my life with people of all cultures. I am honored to be staying in the home of my beautiful friend ShaRon and to get a glimpse of her world and hear of the experiences she has had as a Black lady living in today’s world.

Dear Angels, prejudice and racism make no sense to me. I enjoy my close relationships that I have developed over the years and am grateful that I can hold honest conversations wherever I go. I pray for a world that does not segregate based on skin color or anything else. I pray for an end of the separation from each other.

Dear Ones, to see with eyes of pure love is the return to who you truly are – your divine self. You were not born with hate and prejudice inside you. it is something that is learned. Be the rebel who chooses to look inside and judge the validity of the teaching. There are many lessons in life that are individual as well as collective lessons. When you step away from the energy of the crowd and stand in your divine authority, you are creating a wave of love going forward into the collective conscious. Be a strong tidal wave and connect in with like-minded souls to be a force for love in the world.

Dear Angels, thank you for the insight and the encouragement. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to feed my body and my soul with unconditional love.
