Need Versus Want
“If you hear something that doesn’t make a lot of sense, ask a lot of questions.”
~ Dolores Cannon
Oh boy! Dolores sure asked a lot of questions! What an amazing pioneer to propel us into seeking answers to the truly meaningful things of life. Sometimes when I sit in meditation and call in the angels, I start bombarding them with questions as well. I usually present it in a lighthearted way like “inquiring minds want to know…” because I know how much they like humor. Many times lately though I have come to them with a heavy heart. There is no way to find humor in some of the events that have taken place over the course of this year. I come to them with tears and questions that I know are on all of our minds here on earth. I ask them to make it make sense and sometimes I get insight and sometimes I do not. I have become okay with not knowing everything and going on faith alone that there is a greater plan than what our human minds can comprehend. It doesn’t mean I won’t ask again, maybe with a new situation or from a different perspective. I encourage all of us to do that.
Dear Angels, thank you for being the guides we need to navigate through our life experiences. I know sometimes I can be like that kid in the backseat with “are we there yet” type questions. We are all here doing the best we can to keep treading water and finding our way home. We would love some guidance today.
Dear Ones, we see your beautiful hearts and your desire to understand more of the unexplainable things of life. Many times we see you getting worked up about things outside your lane and wanting an answer to something that is someone else’s experience and lesson. Self-awareness will help you determine if it is a case of “need” to know or “want” to know. Is the knowing of the answer going to improve your individual or collective quality of life on earth? Is it going to help with your life lessons and soul growth? Maybe it is simply your curious mind wanting to understand something and there is nothing wrong with that unless it becomes an obsession instead of a curiosity. Ask yourself why you feel you have to have a particular question answered. Then, stop drawing a line at need to know and want to know, and spend more time knowing as much as you can, experiencing life on your path so you can share your knowledge to inspire others.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to look at my motives for inquiring about things that do not affect me personally or those I am close to. I understand the assignment.
