Passion And Moments Of Weakness

“People should pursue what they’re passionate about. That will make them happier than pretty much anything else.” Elon Musk

Interestingly, one definition of passion is suffering. Hmmm, I thought as I contemplated that. Can there be passion without suffering? It is not usually the first thing people think of when they hear the word passion. And yet it is derived from the Latin word passionem, meaning suffering or enduring. So if indeed we are to pursue what we are passionate about, does that mean there is suffering involved? Personally, I believe that if you are passionate about something (or someone) it means you are all in and being “all in” means that you may endure some kind of suffering along the way, or at least be willing to. I thought about this earlier today as I sat in meditation. I was dealing with some insecurity regarding my life and living my purpose, remembering hurtful words and sometimes feeling isolated. I 100% love what I do and am willing to sacrifice comfort, friendships, distancing myself from family and whatever it takes to continue on my journey. When it comes to staying the course of this life path, I am willing to suffer. Sometimes it can be very lonely and I understand that is when I am most vulnerable. That is when the ego mind starts to make the little digs and tries to make me believe that what I am doing does not matter, that no one cares anyway. As I found myself paying attention to the mind chatter, I heard a small voice saying “thank you for what you do.” And then another saying it even louder. It was memories being brought to mind of people I had met along the way who expressed appreciation that someone is standing up for peace, that someone is “boots on the ground” and choosing to be proactive. More and more of these faces and voices popped into my head. I know it was the angels who brought them to my recollection. I’ve made many wrong choices in my lifetime by listening to the mind chatter telling me I’m worthless and no one cares. Not today. Today, love wins. Today, I am stronger because of my experiences and because of the many beautiful “peas for peace” that support me and show they care. Thank you.

Dear Angels, moments of weakness are very real in our human experience. Today was a tough one. Thank you for surrounding me with love and inspiration. I know it’s not the last time I will encounter moments like this. Help me and others to remember our magnificence during these times.

Dear Ones, the knowledge of who you are is your armor. When the tears fall, as they did today, use them to clear away those insecurities instead of watering them. Feel the passion inside your heart that feeds your soul. Yes, there may be times when it hurts to walk down your path. Those blisters and that tiredness are all too real as part of what you volunteered to do. You can give up at any moment and we would not criticize you for doing so. Only you can decide whether you feel strongly enough about what you are here to do to risk suffering for it; and if you are not passionate about your journey that you are undertaking, then why are you doing it? We will gently remind you, Dear Ones, that being “willing” to suffer does not mean that you actually will suffer. Examine your intentions in all that you do. Find the passion inside you and then examine how willing you are to pursue it. We will be right here beside you, always encouraging, always supporting you along the way – whichever way it may take.

Dear Angels, my every desire is to have peace both inside of me and in the world I live in. Whatever discomfort arises during the journey is meaningless in light of the alternative – a world full of discord and chaos. If anything I do adds to a solution for peace on earth, I will continue to do that until I am no longer on the earth plane. Bring it on, Universe, because I choose to move forward passionately, lovingly and unapologetically. Thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
