Peace and Purpose
“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.” Christian D. Larson
Sometimes it takes a lifetime to achieve peace of mind. Why would one want to sabotage that by allowing in destructive thoughts that disrupt the peace and serenity achieved? If we only stop and step back when a negative thought occurs, we can look at it for what it is, a distraction or a calling. In life we have many distractions. I encounter this quite a bit actually. I strive to maintain inner peace because I love the way it feels. My life is more serene and fun without a bunch of drama to pull me down into a spiral of insecurity and despair. I have not spoken much about abuse I have suffered in my lifetime. While some of it was so horrendous I don’t even want to revisit it, I have come to accept that it happened and I have chosen to do the forgiveness work needed to bring me to a higher level of understanding with it. Are there still triggers? Sometimes, yes, to be honest. I wouldn’t be human otherwise. With that being said, I choose to look at my experience with abuse the same way I look at all my life experiences, as an opportunity for growth. With that spiritual growth, I can empathize with others going through similar experiences to what I endured – whether that be domestic abuse, life-threatening illnesses, or bullying to mention a few. All of us have that opportunity in our lives. The best support we can be for others going through their tough trials is to show support and send unconditional love. It does no one any good to speak ill of an abuser or dwell on the abuse itself. This only keeps the energy focused there and not on the healing that is needed.
Dear Angels, some of the things we encounter in our lives just do not make sense no matter how hard we try to wrap our brain around them. Perhaps we are not supposed to understand some things? Is there something more we need to consider as the purpose for these things showing up for us?
Dear Ones, ask yourselves what you do when a disturbed feeling comes over you as you hear about episodes of abuse and harm done to others. There are some things you will have no control over in the world. Only you can decide to what extent you will become involved in speaking out or acting. How important is it to you to become involved and what does that look like and how likely is it to effect change? If it is a burden on your soul, examine that thought process. We have been sharing the importance of staying in your own lane, meaning take care of your own vibration and frequency. This does not mean, Dear Ones, to turn a blind eye when there is gross injustice in the world. Only you know if it is in your Divine plan to take action in whatever way that looks for you. You have no control over other people’s actions; however, you may have come here this lifetime to be a leader who can help create a momentum for change. You may be called to support in other ways by counseling or coaching those who have been harmed. Search your inner self as only you and your higher power know what your mission is here on earth. Always remember that you are not alone so please call on us for guidance and help sorting through the process of uncovering your answers. If you are called to be in a supportive role through prayer and perhaps a listening ear, know that doing so is just as important as those who are called to action in other ways. When you raise your vibration, you are counterbalancing others who are vibrating at the lower frequencies of hate and discord. The answers are inside of you, Dear Ones.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to be of service in any way I can to those who have been abused and to always show compassion and love.
