Peace Is
“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” ―Jennifer Dukes Lee
The problem with generating excitement and enthusiasm about world peace is being able to see it. It’s not tangible. It is easy for us to see war. The cameras show us evidence of what happens on the battlefield. We see the carnage and destruction that is a result of conflict. There seems to be a fascination with the macabre. The bloodier and more sinister the story, the easier it is to draw people’s attention to it.
Dear Angels, as a peace alchemist and happiness coach, I have had the opportunity to speak with a multitude of people about peace and happiness and what the perception is of these two enigmas. It is somehow difficult to describe either one without talking about its opposite. How would you explain to an alien being to our world what peace means? If they were totally unaware of the chaos and upheaval caused by conflict, it would be hard to find words to use to explain how important peace truly is in our world. If they couldn’t comprehend the spectrum of human emotions, they would not be able to see how happiness is so meaningful in our lives.
Dear Ones, if you allow yourself to step away and become the observer it will be easier to identify what peace truly means. True peace extends beyond personal tranquility; it thrives in the embrace of diversity. It is the celebration of differences, recognizing that the rich tapestry of humanity is woven with threads of various colors, cultures, and perspectives. Peace unites, fostering understanding and empathy across borders, fostering a global community that thrives on cooperation and collaboration. Peace is seen in acts of kindness and understanding. Peace is an extension of compassion and love.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
Today, I promise to observe how peace shows up in my life.
