PIVOT FROM STINKIN THINKIN

“We cannot solve problems with the kind of thinking we employed when we came up with them.” —Albert Einstein

In life we have challenges – what I call “fires.” These often arise from deeply ingrained patterns—ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving that have shaped our experiences for years, sometimes even lifetimes. When faced with a problem, our initial instinct might be to tackle it head-on with the same tools and mindsets we’ve always used. However, as Einstein points out, these familiar approaches are unlikely to bring the fresh solutions we seek. If anything, they keep us stuck in a loop, replaying the same scenarios with different actors and settings. . I call this “stinkin’ thinkin’ and we can break that habit. Imagine facing a storm in your life. The natural reaction might be fear, resistance, or even denial. But what if, instead of seeing the storm as a threat, you viewed it as an opportunity for growth? What if you could see it as a necessary cleansing, a way for old energies to be released so that new, vibrant possibilities can take root? This shift in perspective is the essence of spiritual problem-solving. It requires faith, trust, and the willingness to let go of control—qualities that are not always easy to cultivate but are deeply rewarding.

Dear Angels, To truly transcend our challenges, we must embrace a higher perspective, one that goes beyond our limited human understanding. As Mari-Etta Stoner says, “go up up up to a higher plane.” And then my friend, Dr. Sharron Stroud says to go “higher yet!” The Buddha says, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” "Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most."

Dear Ones, we encourage you to rise above your old patterns and embrace the transformative power of new thinking. In the spiritual journey, this often means releasing control, seeking divine guidance, and trusting in the unseen forces that guide you. By doing so, you move from a place of struggle to one of surrender, allowing the grace of the universe to bring forth solutions that are beyond your wildest imaginings. We challenge you to rise up to that higher plane, take a moment to pause and breathe. Ask yourself: Am I approaching this with old thinking? How might I see this situation through the eyes of love, wisdom, and divine guidance? The answers are there, waiting for you to shift your perspective and embrace the new. Stop taking yourself so seriously. Embrace that you will sometimes have “stinkin’ thinkin’ and laugh about even the silliness of saying that out loud. You may surprise yourself at the insights that will come and the creative ways you can begin to deal with life’s challenges. We are right here when you need that nudge to go in a different direction. You are not alone. Remember the words of the Psalmist, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.

Today, I promise to stay present and go higher with my thinking so as to stay in the moment.
