Reap What You Sow

“I urge everyone to think of time as precious! Use each and every moment to plant a seed of thought you want to experience … You may not remember your thoughts and deny you have anything to do with what you are reaping, but you can only harvest what you plant.” Neville Goddard

I have what is probably the world’s worst green thumb. In fact, it is probably more like brown. It is surprising as we always had a garden in my childhood. However, I do understand the concept that Goddard speaks of when he talks about how we can only “harvest what you plant.” If we planted a row of corn in our garden, we ended up with corn and not tomatoes. I have seen this in play my whole life. Yet, time after time I witness people thinking they are going to harvest something different than what they are planting in life. If we spend our thoughts and words on the negative energy of the world, constantly replaying the stories and judging how bad things are, how can we possibly expect anything to show up for us in a positive way? Nope, you plant the negative seed and you reap the negative result.

Dear Angels, a popular teaching is that when you keep doing things the same way and expecting a different result that is the definition of insanity. Yet, so many times we have to push the envelope. We think we will give it one more chance, we will roll the dice one more time with a hope and prayer for a better result. Please give us some insight.

Dear Ones, indeed an apple tree will only produce apples. It really is pretty simple when you think about it. You are the only one who can decide if you like apples. Some of you keep planting negative seeds, not necessarily thinking they will produce something different but because it is what you have become used to. You know what an apple tastes like. You are not quite sure how to change from that or if you even want to. You are not sure how the other fruits would taste. Would they satisfy you? Ask yourself if you look forward to the drama in your life? This is not a judgment, Dear Ones, only an opening of the conversation for you to examine this aspect of your experience. There is no right or wrong when it comes to your lessons in life. Each of you have your own purpose for coming into the human experience. Perhaps the drama and negativity are what you are here to understand and heal. Only you and your higher self can figure that out. On the other hand, if it is indeed a habit you have as a result of the old tapes you are letting run in the background and you are not sure how to change the tape, then please be assured that you do not have to continue that pattern. You can plant a new row in your garden or a new tree that can be what you desire, perhaps something that will bring you inner peace instead of chaos. Maybe start with one seed. Choose to do an act of kindness, listen fully to a friend or family member, send a note of encouragement to someone going through a hard time. You will have the opportunity arise once you decide to change the contents of your garden. Dear Ones, we encourage you to only plant that which you truly want to reap.

Dear Angels, thank you for making this so clear. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to plant seeds of hope, love and joy in my garden of life.
