RIDE THE CURVES OF LIFE WITH HANDS HELD HIGH
"The art of life is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much." William Hazlitt
Every time I drive through the western part of the States, I remember why I love it so much out here. Sometimes, it feels like the first time experiencing the incredible wealth of beauty this area holds. As I drove up a mountain to arrive at my destination – my friend Jim’s house – it clicked a memory of riding my motorcycle. The road is winding and curvy, and it seems you meet yourself going around the curves. To ride this kind of road on a motorcycle is an experience that cannot be described; it just has to be experienced to understand it. We walked outside at sunset to a sky full of vibrant colors. I was left speechless as I looked at God’s painted sky and the silence of the area, which seemed to be drinking it all in.
Dear Angels, the great mountains on earth are indeed sticking out and while they have some similarities, each is unique in its own way. The windy curve of a mountain road reminds us how life can sometimes be full of twists and turns and feel precarious. Eventually, the curves give way to longer stretches of road so you can more calmly appreciate your surroundings. When this happens in life, it is an opportunity to just be present.
Dear Ones, appreciating the beauty of your surroundings loosens up your innate soul connection with God. To appreciate the artist of any creation, one must have a deep connection with the creator on a soul level. If you have a deep emotional feeling when looking at a painting, photo or what appears to be sculpted scenery, you are left with an inner knowingness that you and the Creator sat with this and directed the flow of energy. Interestingly, just as the very real twisting and turning of the mountain road seems to last forever, so too does our experience in the roadway of life until that moment when it becomes straightened out. I have let out a visible sigh as I allow the beauty to sink in. The message for you is “look beyond” even though you are caught up in the beauty of the experience. Look beyond at possibilities, at a sense of achievement, and a myriad of other ways to process the curves that life can throw your way. Don’t fight the experience. Just go with the flow, and the experience becomes something magical and life-changing.
Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.
Today, I promise to always go with the flow and stop putting on the brakes as I turn the corners.
