Seared With Scars

In life we will attain many scars. It is the nature of the world we inhabit. Each of us has a story, some many stories, of how we received those scars. The experiences themselves are the fires we came through to reach a deeper understanding of who we truly are inside. They have little to do with the outward self, the body. With each experience we have choices. We can hide from our power and shrink from our magnificence. That is one choice and there is no judgment toward anyone who chooses this path. It is simply an option. To become a cipher is to make yourself invisible, to convince yourself that you do not matter and that no one cares. Many do this as a protection against being hurt, afraid to reveal true emotions and thus the scars build one upon another. There is, however, another option and that is to rise above the experience itself. As Khalil teaches us, “say not I have found the path of the soul but rather say I have met the soul while walking on my path … for the soul walks upon all paths … the soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.” Each experience is an opportunity to meet our soul more fully, to allow the lotus to unfold more with each fire we walk through.
Dear Angels, while being a kid is fun and there is a certain joy in not having responsibility, we cannot remain a child. Eventually, we reach a point of taking responsibility for our actions and words. How can we own our responsibility as a spiritual being and lose the childish ways as we open up to our full magnificence?
Dear Ones, you came into this earthly experience for the purpose of expanding your spiritual being. To do so, you must indeed walk on your path openly and willingly expose yourself to any pain you may encounter along the way. There is much wisdom in your scars. When you hide from the lesson the wound remains open and is susceptible to being triggered by future attempts to aid you in understanding. Many of you are scared of the hurt, thus you try to shield yourself by refusing to deal with healing from the experience. You keep regurgitating the event that hurt you and making it the culprit for how bad you feel, how anxious you are, how unsuccessful you are. You hide behind “if only this had not happened” and keep pointing your finger at it. The reality is that all events and situations are neutral until you do the self-talk necessary to assign the meaning to them. If it is your belief that you can be hurt, that another or something can take your power from you without your consent then your experience will be far different than when you stand in your Divine authority and come from a place of love and strength in who you are, realizing that no one can take what is rightfully yours unless you give it to them. Stop giving your power away, Dear Ones, and stay strong in your Divine magnificence. As you grow stronger and take responsibility for your own feelings and actions, you will be able to move forward more confidently and allow each experience to be what it is – an experience. It will not define you but instead will help shape you.
