Slow Down And Watch The Sunset

“Take your time getting dressed this morning; read a book, make yourself some breakfast. The world can wait.” – Whitney Nobis

I know it is very hard to buy into “the world can wait” philosophy. I get it. I’m reminded of the song “Cat’s In The Cradle” and the powerful message from it. Yes, there will always be bills to pay and demands on our time. At some point we have to pause and look at those in our life that are affected by how we choose to spend our time and at what sacrifice. I have been a workaholic most of my life. I don’t mind pushing myself to get things done. I have been called out on it a few times in the past, however. I think we have to ask what the motivation is to keep placing demands on ourselves, especially when there are those seeking our attention.

Dear Angels, how do we find that fine line between doing too much and feeling we are not doing enough?

Dear Ones, the key here is balance. If you truly are taking on too much and find yourself exhausted from all the output of energy, perhaps it is time to look at where you are being fed in the grand scheme of it all. Is all that hard work rewarding to you? Is it worth it to miss out on things that are important in your life just to keep doing what you do? How can you make some compromises so you can have more balance and thus more of yourself to give to those who would love to spend time with you? Look at what excuses you are making for pushing yourself as hard as you do. Is it really necessary financially or is there a better solution? If it is not about money, then look at the motivation; people-pleasing, making yourself look more important for what you do, etc.. Perhaps you just have not given yourself permission to take some time for you…hmmm it may be time to look at that! Whatever you do, know that you always have options. Don’t think things can only be one way. Look for solutions instead of just deciding that it has to be one way. Dear Ones, life is too short to fill it with demands that are not fulfilling you.

Dear Angels, I know you are speaking to me and I know this is one area I have to keep being consciously aware of as I go about my journey. Thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
