STORIES

"We are all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?" - The Doctor (Doctor Who)

While my siblings and I did not have the greatest childhood, as adults we would sit and share stories with each other, many times ending up in fits of laughter as we remembered the crazy antics we pulled as kids. We all have stories. What we choose to remember about those stories is important. It helps with forgiving the unmentionable things we would rather not talk about. If someone were to bring up one of those memories, the conversation usually ended with, “They did the best they could with what they had.” It made me wonder if people still say that today when we live in a world with information at our fingertips and things like social services in place all across the country.

Dear Angels, at some point we must stop making excuses for people who are abusive. There is no reason for someone to inflict hurt on another being.

Dear Ones, we hear you and see how much it affects you when others act in an unloving manner. We encourage you to stop judging others as each of you is on a journey and creating your own story. You cannot change another being. Therefore, by judging and criticizing, you are only keeping that story alive in your own mind. When you find yourself personally involved in a relationship with another that is less than loving, you must choose if you will stay and allow the abuse or if you will remove yourself from it. You are worthy of living a happy and joyous life.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.

Today, I promise to hold only love in my heart.
