Stuck Is A State Of Mind
“If you want to be sad, no one in the world can make you happy. But if you make up your mind to be happy, no one and nothing on earth can take that happiness from you.” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
I used to rebel at this statement from my Beloved Yogi. I would mutter something like, “but Master you don’t understand…” I would complain about so many things and point out how bad they made me feel. I would dig in my heels adamantly and swear it was not my fault and there was nothing I could do to change the way I felt. Tonight Rosalyn parked her car at her friend’s house that we were going to visit. As she parked, two wheels went off the pavement into soft dirt. When she tried to adjust the car, one tire wouldn’t move forward or backward; we were stuck there with the tire spinning and going nowhere. That’s the feeling when we think we can’t move forward in life, isn’t it? We are stuck in the mire, blaming what we are feeling on something outside of ourselves and feeling hopeless and helpless. As we went to leave, Rosalyn’s friend got in to move the car for us. He easily drove it out of the dirt because he knew to apply more gas and be unafraid of the spinning tire. I have seen myself as that stuck car so many times in life and as I reflect I know now that I just didn’t give it enough gas. It was much easier to stay stuck and blame whatever was holding me back.
Dear Angels, I really feel for you having to watch when we spin out unable to see the solution and blaming outside circumstances. Help please!
Dear Ones, if you perceive yourself to be stuck then you will be stuck. There are no problems – only solutions waiting to be discovered. Sometimes it requires walking away from the situation and taking a fresh look with a new attitude and perspective. Yes, we observe the process when something happens and your response is to give in to your human emotions. We do not judge you for this. It is all part of your learning process. We encourage you, Dear Ones, to take that step away instead of immediately thinking you have no choice. You blame things like the energy fluctuations, world events, life situations and on and on it goes. Anything will suffice to keep you from reclaiming your power. It is much easier to point a finger away from yourself. When the overwhelm hits, ask your higher self for a solution. Don’t just sit and spin your tires and say you can’t move forward. Once you open up to possibilities, you will move again. Don’t expect the brake to do the job of the gas pedal; remember it is the one on the right.
Dear Angels, I get it. Stay focused and apply more gas! Thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.
