The Gift That Comes From Your Heart Is Enough

“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.” ― Pablo Neruda

Are you familiar with Aesop’s fable of the Lion and the Mouse? A Lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little Mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the Lion’s nose. Roused from his nap, the Lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her. “Spare me!” begged the poor Mouse. “Please let me go and some day I will surely repay you.” The Lion was much amused to think that a Mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the Mouse go. Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the Lion was caught in the toils of a hunter’s net. Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The Mouse knew the voice and quickly found the Lion struggling in the net. Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she gnawed it until it parted, and soon the Lion was free. “You laughed when I said I would repay you,” said the Mouse. “Now you see that even a Mouse can help a Lion.”

Dear Angels, sometimes we humans are so judgmental of others that we do not see their value or the equality of each other. We all have our special gifts and value that we have to offer. When an act of kindness is shown, no matter how small, it can have a huge impact. Some of those can even be life changing for those we encounter.

Dear Ones, have you ever observed a young child who wishes to share something they have in their possession such as a toy or a snack? The joy is in the giving. There is delight seen that someone accepts their act of kindness. Encouraging this behavior in your young ones is one way to ensure that the giving will continue in their lives as they grow. Giving has its own power to lift confidence and joy inside. Children and adults who withhold sharing with others end up with a scarcity mindset. To overcome the feeling of lack, it is best to give. The happiest people on your planet are the givers. Don’t wait for someone to give you a hug, offer one yourself. Take a sandwich to a homeless person and share it with them, asking to sit with them while you eat. There are so many ways to lift the vibration of your planet. Be a changemaker by giving and sharing. Your argument at times is that you do not have anything to give. We say even a smile is a gift. See how you can best support others in your world and in so doing you will free yourself, much like the lion in the story.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to give and not judge the size of what is given.
