THE OPEN WINDOW
“How can I blame the wind for the mess it made, when it was me who opened the window.” kaustubhi
In this lifetime I have spent way too much time pointing fingers and blaming others instead of looking inward at myself. Even when I was surrounded by toxic people, I still did not understand that it was me that let them close. I opened the window! This act was one of choice, an invitation for change, for interaction with the world beyond my controlled environment. The wind did not force its way in; I allowed it. The mess, therefore, is not the fault of the wind but a consequence of my openness.
Dear Angels, it is not always easy to admit being “wrong” or choosing a path that is not for our best good. Life happens. We are constantly choosing our next step and if we do it without putting some thought into it, it can get pretty messy.
Dear Ones, just like the wind, life's events often come in through the windows you open—be it through your choices, your attitudes, or your actions. When things do not go as planned, instead of casting blame outward, look inward. Understand that your decisions have invited these changes. Every mess, each disruption, carries a lesson. Perhaps it teaches you to secure your belongings better next time, or maybe it's a reminder to appreciate the calm before you invite the storm. Every experience shapes you. Rather than harboring resentment against the wind or the circumstances, embrace acceptance. The wind will come and go, but it's your reaction that defines the aftermath. Acceptance clears the path for peace and understanding. Do not fear the wind or the changes it brings. Instead, see it as an opportunity for growth. When you find yourself amidst a mess, remember the wind did not choose to disrupt; it was merely following its path. You chose to let it in, and in doing so, you chose to learn, to grow, and to become more attuned to the rhythms of life. So, Dear Ones, when you next feel the urge to blame the wind, pause. Reflect on the window you opened. Celebrate the dance of life, even in its chaotic moments, for it's through these that you truly learn to live, to love, and to fly.
Angels Whisper: There's wisdom in knowing when to open your windows and when to keep them shut. Life's beauty often lies in the balance between control and surrender, between planning and spontaneity.
Today, I promise to be more aware before I open my windows and to realize that I am the one in control when things happen in my world.
AFFIRMATION: I accept the winds of change I have invited into my life. I choose to see every disruption as a lesson and every mess as an opportunity for growth. I am the master of my choices, and I embrace them with grace and understanding. I am at peace with the natural flow of life, learning, healing, and evolving with every breath. I am open to the beauty of balance, knowing when to invite change and when to seek calm. I am whole, I am wise, and I am wonderfully shaped by every experience.
