WALKING IN TRUST IN TOUGH TIMES

waterfall

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." — Helen Keller

I have thought a lot in the last couple of days about trust. It is easy to trust God when it’s easy, when things are going smoothly. Trust is more than being in a state of “okayness” though. Even when I don’t understand the happenings in the world that shake me to the very core, I choose to trust the promises of God and the angels. Things have been upside down and sideways and there is a lot of questioning about why these events are taking place. Each of us must ask if we trust even when it is hard to do so, when we feel we are going through hell in our lives. I have been the observer, as have so many others, of evil acts against our fellow beings. The things that don’t make sense to us can shake us to the core if we allow them to. The angels said to me many years ago to stop questioning why. Every time I forget their instructions, I find myself going down a rabbit hole and thus allow doubt and fear to set in. Staying in trust is not always easy but it is much better than what happens when we get caught up in questioning with no answers.

Dear Angels, suffering, in its many forms, touches us all at some point. It may come as personal loss, health challenges, global crises, or moments when the weight of life feels almost unbearable. We live in a world where pain is evident, whether in our own hearts or in the lives of those around us. Yet, amid the brokenness, I know we can find a quieter truth pulsing beneath the surface telling us that the world is equally full of healing, love, and triumph.

Dear Ones, every dark moment carries the seeds of light. Think of a seed buried in the ground—surrounded by darkness, unseen and unheard, yet full of life waiting to emerge. With patience and nourishment, it breaks free, reaching toward the sun. So too do you grow through your struggles. Suffering has a way of unearthing parts of you that you didn’t know existed—courage that you thought was lacking, compassion you hadn’t yet tapped into, and a strength that moves you to rise, even when falling feels easier. Look around, and you'll find countless stories of people who have faced unimaginable pain yet found ways to transcend it. Survivors of war and famine rebuilding their communities, individuals overcoming personal loss to become beacons of hope for others, and everyday heroes showing kindness in moments where it’s most needed. These stories are testaments that while pain is inevitable, it is not the end of the story. As you navigate your own path, may you remember the beauty of resilience within you. Though the world may be full of suffering, choose to walk together in the truth that it is also brimming with hope, love, and endless opportunities for healing. Every tear shed, every wound endured, brings with it the possibility of renewal and rebirth. Remember these words from the scriptures, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.”

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste y’all.

Today, I promise to walk in trust even in the midst of chaos and confusion that shows up in the world.
