What Is The Temperature
“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
I am a people watcher and unapologetic about it. We can learn so much from observing human behavior and, if we watch long enough, we will see a pattern develop that shows the “temperature” of our current times. Next time you have an opportunity to just sit and observe, see what you pick up on. Is there fear in people’s behavior as they move through a crowded store? About a year ago I was in a department store and saw on the other side of the rack of clothes something strange so decided to pay attention. The lady was dressed head to toe, and I kid you not, in what looked like a beekeeper’s outfit. As another lady started moving down the same aisle toward her, she retreated backwards as if she were in danger. Fear was rampant. It was a sign of the times. When we do not understand something that is potentially harmful, our first inclination is to protect ourselves. While this was the extreme of what I observed, there were others secluding themselves and not stepping outside their homes for two years. Another extreme behavior. Wouldn’t it be great if we took a moment to pause instead of panic and gather facts instead of potentials? If this last two years taught us nothing else, I believe it is a call to be more intelligent in asking questions and demanding truths.
Dear Angels, I would love your input on how we can stop hitting the panic button and become more aware of what is real and what is not.
Dear Ones, many times your fight or flight instincts that are a part of your human experience are triggered quickly before you even realize what you are doing. Of course, we encourage you to protect yourself against harm. We encourage you, however, to do your due diligence in asking questions and calmly trying to understand what is real instead of blindly accepting what may appear to be true. You have within you the ability to discern and you also have powerful resources of intuition and instinct. Ask yourself the important questions. Are you using all of these together to determine what your response should be? Is there anything you can do if there is a danger? Are you trusting in your higher power to guide you? Always remember, Dear Ones, that you never walk alone. It is in the moments of panic that you forget this. It is also in those moments when you are being lifted up by a legion of angels who are doing what we do to assist you to hold on to your faith and hope. If you are in fear, you are in your head and not feeling what is in your heart. Open up to love. Stay in your heart and you will find us there.
Dear Angels, thank you for always being there and having our back. I love you. Namaste y’all.
