WHICH STATE OF MIND DO YOU CHOOSE

“Fears are nothing more than states of mind.”  Napoleon Hill

Fear. It's a small word with a big impact. It has the power to paralyze us, make us question our worth, and keep us from living the life we are meant to live. Yes, I have given in to all of that throughout my lifetime. Yet, what if I told you that fear is nothing more than a state of mind? A temporary illusion that clouds the truth of who we are—divine beings of light, filled with love and strength. When we think about fear, we often associate it with danger or uncertainty. Our minds which are conditioned by past experiences and society’s influences, tend to cling to fear as if it were a safety net. But fear is not safety. It’s a barrier that prevents us from stepping into our full potential and embracing the path that our soul has chosen. Fear keeps us small when, in truth, we are meant to soar. I choose today to not play small. In those moments when I let fear paralyze me, I found myself comparing my experience to the old TV series Land Of The Giants. Danger was always lurking and I saw myself as the little person not wanted to be stepped on. One thing that helped me was to ask myself if I was okay in the now moment. Don’t get me wrong. There are some things in life to fear, although now I see those in a different light. For years I was trapped in a toxic relationship where I was threatened that if I tried to leave he would kill me. And he meant it as he proved over and over again when I would stand up to him. I had to think beyond the fear and enlisted friends to help me carry out a plan to leave. The statistics on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is astounding. An average of 23 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, totaling over 12 million men and women annually, according to the Emergency Assistance Foundation. On average, it takes seven attempts to leave an IPV situation permanently. It took me four and I feel fortunate to have left before I became a fatality.

Dear Angels, while there are real situations that require physical action to remove ourselves from, there are many perceived fears that come as a result of projecting the worst possible scenario as the only outcome. When fear arises, it is good to remember that it is merely a thought pattern—a program we’ve been running for far too long. How can we make this shift in perspective?

Dear Ones, instead of seeing fear as a wall, see it as a doorway to growth, self-discovery, and deeper connection with the Divine. Archangel Gabriel brings clarity and wisdom and can help you to see beyond the fear and understand the lessons your soul is learning through these experiences. Remember, Dear Ones, that fear cannot coexist with love. They are like oil and water. When you fill your hearts with the pure, unconditional love of the Divine, fear has no room to take root. This is why it is so important to connect daily with your higher self, to bathe in that love and light, and to remind yourselves of the truth—fear is nothing more than a state of mind. You are braver than you think, more powerful than you know, and deeply loved by the Divine. Embrace this truth and let it carry you beyond the limits of fear into the infinite possibilities of your beautiful soul.

Dear Angels, thank you. I love you. Namaste, y’all.

Today, I promise to always look beyond the limits of fear.
