With Your Love

Are you like me? Do you know you need to take a step forward and just do it, yet you are wondering how?

Yesterday, one of my dear friends asked me why am I procrastinating and not sharing what she coins my 'golden nuggets'. Then this morning while reading Pastor Rick Warren's, 'Open Doors Daily Devotions', I again received the same message: "If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done." Ecclesiastes 11:4. Ok Lord, I'm listening, here we go!

My friend was telling me how she needs to expand her friend group. I asked her, do you really need to? Isn't your husband asking for more of your time and attention? Aren't you so busy that you need to schedule time with him? She said, yes. Whereby she proceeded to rethink her needs and approach. She changed her path and started spending more time with her husband, her best-friend. The beautiful thing that came about was that he started opening-up, sharing more, and became happier, just by spending time with his wife. The icing on the cake is that now she feels full and loved as well. 'Through love, serve one another.' Galatians 5:13

When I was married, my husband just wanted me to take the time to sit with him when we got home from work, sharing our day. As a busy working mom, my 'to do' list was too long, and I did not take the time to love on and cherish my time with my best friend. For the sake of your marriage and family, please learn from my mistake. I encourage you to take and make the time for those whom you love.
